Fujii Rio’s contract with UP-FRONT is terminated

Fujii Rio’s contract with Hello! Project and UP-FRONT is terminated due to rule violations. She will no longer be a part of Kobushi Factory and Hello! Project effective immediately.

The announcement was made by Representative Director Nishiguchi Takeshi.

Fujii had earlier announced her graduation, originally intended to take place after the 2017 Hello! Project Summer concerts. The reason for her graduation announcement at the time was her desire to become a teacher or nurse and her supposed inability to balance that dream with her activities as part of Kobushi Factory.

Kobushi Factory’s leader Hirose Ayaka has offered fans her apologies for Fujii’s sudden departure.
